| Bio: | Let's start with the basics: I'm a 22 year-old straight male who just graduated from Cornell, where I was a math major and pre-med. This summer I am doing research, taking a final pre-med course, taking the MCATs, and applying to MD/PhD programs. If the funding comes through, I'll spend the next year doing statistical genomics research, and then hopefully get into some of those programs I'll be applying to. My ultimate goal is currently a career in public health. I tend to be really hyper. I read fanfic, and occaisionally write it (by which I mean that I keep meaning to write it but never do). I also write dubious original fic (see above for the meaning of "write"). I also write the occasional bit of strange - and generally fairly bad - poetry (this I actually do write, although not as often as I should). All of these traits will probably be reflected here at one time or another. My politics are hard to describe succinctly. The best I can do is to say that I'm a strong believer in individual freedom, but have unusual ideas as to what that constitutes. In practical terms, I vote Democratic, and would like to see the Dems take a more genuinely liberal stand on most issues.
